Print Sales:

I get emails often about prints of my work, I do sell signed fine art gallery prints of my work, many are edition prints. To simplify the process I have created an online store for the easy handling of this. There are a few of my images there now, with more to be added gradually. If there is an image you are interested in but don't yet see it on the store site just email me with details, Contact here.

'Dry The River' Portrait;

A recent portrait of British band 'Dry The River' Their second album came out last month, I wanted a portrait that reflected the feel of their music, this was shot in a forest just outside of London.

Archive Image; Oasis 2005

This is a previously unseen portrait from a session with Oasis, shot in 2005. I've been going over my archives, and will be over the coming months, as I'm having a couple of exhibitions next year. So much stuff was shot this simply wasn't used when the shoot was done but it's a portrait I really like.

Unpublished Mr.Hudson;

The things that get left on the cutting room floor; I guess it goes without saying that there are always additional portraits from a session to the ones which get used. If it's for a magazine feature there may be only 2 or 3 portraits used, so there are always others - these are outtakes from the recent Mr. Hudson session. Unused, but not unloved - by me at least :)

Just Make The Work.

I got a call from a photo assistant today - while talking they asked me about my photos, where do I get ideas, where does the inspiration for a certain photo come from, how do I decide on locations and lighting?

I always say pretty much the same thing, simply put; forget about inspiration - just make the work.
But to expand; with my photography if I have a shoot I just have to do something, start somewhere. If I have 90 minutes with someone I just have to work, I will have a few thoughts in advance of the shoot, starting points, maybe a feel I’m after, a mood. Sometimes a shoot is quite heavily worked out in advance - the location, the clothes, the light, all set up and ready to go when the subject arrives. Then some other times it’s very loose, I’m pretty much making it up as I go along. I like both ways - but never sit waiting for an idea and stressing that you’re not getting ‘inspired’ - those ideas are already in your head, they are the sum of all your interests, your own thoughts, your subject research, an idea you had 6 months ago that you just realised is perfect for this shoot, a location you saw once and just know it’ll work for this, everything you’ve ever learnt, that ‘inspiration’ is the sum of those things.
Don’t worry about it. Forget about inspiration - just make the work.

(iPhone) Brazil;

Photos shot on my iPhone during my trip to Brazil this month. I shot a lot of photographs, mainly on my 5D Mark III, but I've not sorted those out yet so I'll share a few of the 'instant' iPhone ones here for now. Incredible country, and had an incredible time, could have done with longer but work calls.
Certainly a place I'll go back to.

Recent Work: Mr. Hudson

I've not posted much work here recently, putting up personal photographs instead, but this is a very recent portrait session with Mr Hudson, shot on location in London. He has a new album out later this year, and has also been working with Miley Cyrus, and legends Duran Duran. We spent an afternoon working on some images for Disorder magazine and these are a few of the portraits we shot. I was looking for a certain mood to the portraits - his new album will be songs with a more moody feel, set in London, I wanted to get some of that same feeling, and location, into the portraits.
